GAIN UCI is the Indonesian government programme which was implemented since
year 2010 as an effort to accelerate the reaching of UCI village because the failed of
reaching UCI Village in previous years. The successful indicator of implementation
GAIN UCI in year 2011 was 85% UCI village, however in the year 2011 Banyuwangi
district area only reached 77,4% UCI Village. It showed that the implementation of
GAIN UCI programme is not optimal yet. This was a descriptive study using
quantitative approach. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation
of GAIN UCI programme include of activities in preparation, implementation and
evaluation stage. The respondents of this study is a manager of immunization
programme, immunization coordinator in each public health centre and all of the
immunization officers in the chosen village (purposive sampling). The data was
collected by questioner, interview and observation. Descriptive statistic is used as a
technique of data analyze. The result of the study showed that the UCI village
respondents has the higher frequency of working time at 11-20 years (56%), not
agreement of getting incentive with a lower point (16%), good agreement of load
working with a higher point (37,21%) and good agreement of working motivation
with a higher point (60%) than the non UCI village respondents. In the preparation
stage, most of the respondents have a good agreement only in socialization and
creating of PWS. Only one people who get the immunization training and all of the
respondent did not make the area map and action plans of immunization. All of the
respondent have the good agreement in all the activities of implementation stage and
the evaluation in the non UCI village is not optimal yet. Base on this study, the
improvement of immunization management include making of the action plans and
the immunization map area also the coordination with the other sectors have to be
done by excecutive officer immunization in each public health centre.
