dc.description.abstractHypertension can be affected lifestyle, stress, obesity, lack of exercise, genetic, and type of personality. The personality type influential to the hypertension relapsed due to someone using their coping stress. The purpose of this research was to analyze the correlation between the type of personality and the hypertension occurrence at Internal Medicine at Dr. Sayidiman Magetan Hospital. The type of research used was cross sectional by using chi-square test with 0.05 significance level. The result of this research showed that 47 percent patients from internal medicine poly were in type of personality A, 53 percent of patients were in type of personality B, 60 percent patients got hypertension, 40 percent didn’t get hypertension. Personality type A patients who has hypertension were 20% and personality type B patients who has hypertension were 13%. The type of personality has a significant relationship with the hypertension case (p-value <0,05). Respondents of personality type A had 4,1 higher risk to hypertension rather than those of type B. The conclusion that we can take from this research is that the type of personality has a significant relationship with the hypertension case and hypertension was correlated to patients with A personality.en_US
