ANALISIS RISIKO KEBAKARAN SEBAGAI UPAYA PENGENDALIAN KEBAKARAN DI PABRIK KERTAS PT. X

Abstract

Fire is a disaster caused by fire and can occur anywhere. Fire can occur even in place that has a mild level of fire risk. So it is necessary to do a fire risk assessment as a basic for efforts to control the risk of fire. The aim of this study was to analyze the risk of fire as fire control efforts in the PT. X. This study is a descriptive study with qualitative approach. Techniques of data collection through interviews and observation. Result showed that the identification of the risk of fire in the PT. X is done passively. The results of identification in PT. X showed that the largest source of fire risk is from of paper, and the cause of the fire risk come from production process using a machine with high temperatures and potentially cause a fire. PT X never does fire risk assessment, risk assessment is done for a risk in general. Based on the study of fire risk levels in each section / unit level fire risk varies from low, moderate, to high level of fire risk. Efforts to control fire risk based on fire risk control program, but in fact control efforts are still not running optimally. PT. X has been preparing the means of fire protection including fire alarms, APAR, hydrants, barrier, spacing between buildings, fireproof shield, and the means of escape (the exit, fire escape) that at any time can be used for fire fighting. Fire incident happened three times since 2001. It is necessary to do risk control measures so that the incident does not happen again.
