dc.description.abstract | Nowdays adolescent problems are very complex along with the transition period
experienced by adolescent. The adolescent problem is known as Triad KRR
(sexuality, HIV / AIDS, and drugs abuse). The existence of peer educators is
improving information about health reproduction of adolescent, service of PIK KRR
and improving quality of them. The purpose of this research is analyzing the
characteristics of the first variable (man, money, machine), and a second variable in
process is implementation of activities that interest for adolescent, and increase life
skills of peer education in improving health reproduction of adolescent on the region
of Jember. This research is using qualitative approach. Indepth interviews were
conducted to 8 peer educators and using snowball sampling technique. Based on the
results in the man’s variable, the age of peer educators are 15-23 years and be peer
educators more than 2 years. In the variable of money, peer educators said the cost
of government has been not sufficient and the strategy for them such as finding funds
to sponsorship, dues from each member, online business. The variable of machine,
the infrastructure of PIK adolescent is not adequate yet because the existence of
secretariat PIK adolescent far from the crowd so it was difficult reaching many
adolescents. In process variable peer educators have conducted activities to attract
adolescent and have improved life skills program such as entrepreneurship, activities
increased confidence and adolescent decision making. | en_US |
