PENGARUH INFORMASI KESEHATAN, PENDIDIKAN IBU, DAN PENGETAHUAN IBU TERHADAP KESAKITAN DIARE PADA BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS CERMEE KABUPATEN BONDOWOSO

Abstract

Diarrhoea is one of the health problems to children, including in Indonesia. Diarrhoea can be spreaded to susceptible people that are baby, children in under five years old, child school, adults, and the old man. The risk of diarrhoea for children under five years old is higher than adults. World Health Organization (WHO) said that diarrhoea is one of the died causes for children under five years old in the world. In Cermee Public Health Center on Bondowoso District, diarrhoea is one of the health problems that very difficult to prevent. This research was done to investigate the effect of health information, mother`s education, and mother`s knowledge to the sickness of children under five years old with diarrhoea in Cermee Public Health Center on Bondowoso District. This research used path analysis to analyse the data. A cross-sectional research design with area proporsional sampling has been used to collect the data. The result showed that health information was influence to mother`s knowledge, mother`s education was influence to mother`s knowledge, health information was influence to the sickness of diarrhoea among children under five years of old, mother`s education was not influence to the sickness of diarrhoea among children under five years of old and the last result showed that mother`s knowledge was not influence to the sickness of diarrhoea among children under five years of old. Therefore, it is suggested the increasing of Mother`s education and Mother`s knowledge about diarhhoea among children under five years of old including the prevention, therapy of diarhhoea with more give information from the public health service.
