PENGARUH EKSTRAK KEDELAI (GLYCINE MAX (L.) MERILL) TERHADAP APOPTOSIS SEL KANKER KOLON PADA TIKUS PUTIH (RATTUS NORVEGICUS STRAIN WISTAR) YANG DIINDUKSI DMBA (7,12DIMETHYLBENZ(α)ANTHRACENE) (STUDI IN VIVO PADA TIKUS PUTIH GALUR WISTAR)
Abstract
Colon cancer is the third common cause of cancer death in the world and in
Indonesia. Its prevalence was increasing every year. Colon cancer commonly
caused by daily intakes of total energy, and macronutrients in high average and
the consumption of dietary fiber is low. Consumption of soybean is a healthy diet
that has the capacity for prevention and treatment of the cancer. Soybean
contains isoflavones, which proved to suppress growth of cancer cells. It was a
true experimental in vivo studies using rats (Rattus Norvegicus strain Wistar) as
the model of cancer which given extract of soybean. The aims of this study to
identify directly the effects of soybean on cancer growth through observation of
apoptotic in the rat colon. The number of rat used as a model were 30 rats,
divided into 5 groups of treatment (t), where each group consisted of 6 rats (n).
The treatments on this experiment were inducted of DMBA (7,12-dimetilbenz (α)
anthracene) and soybean extract. Rats’ colon with tumor suspected changed into
paraffin blocks to be executed by the TUNEL test. The apoptotic data analyzed by
analysis of variance (ANOVA). The ANOVA results was indicated that there was a
difference between the groups under significance level 1% of 0.0001. According
to the result of the research, concluded that soybean extract tend to prevent the
colon cancer.
