HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP PENGELOLA RUMAH PEMONDOKAN ATAU KOS DENGAN KONDISI PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH DOMESTIK (Studi Pada Rumah Pemondokan Atau Kos Di Kelurahan Sumbersari Kabupaten Jember)
Abstract
Minimal optimal controlling and training on lodging or boarding houses manager
whose the number of boarding houses that are still not guaranteed in terms of
environmental cleanliness, especially in terms of waste management systems. The key
of a boarding house bussiness is by implementing a waste management systems right.
The aims of this research are to learn the condition of domestic waste management
systems for the lodgement or boarding houses and to analyze the correlation between
knowledges and attitudes boardinghouses manager with the condition of the domestic
waste management system in the boardinghouses in Sumbersari village Jember
Regency. This research is explanatory research with quantitative approach. The
technique of data collecting of this research uses two kinds of techniques, i.e.
observation and interview. The independent variable of this research is the
knowledge and attitudes boardinghouse managers whereas dependent variable is a
condition of boarding house management systems. The result of the research
indicates that 10,6% of boardinghouses in the village boardinghouse Sumbersari
Jember regency classified into the category of "good", 58.7% lodging house is in the
category of “sufficient”, meanwhile 30.7% is a boardinghouse in the category of
“less”. Besides, the result of examination using SPSS found that the value of p is
worth as much as 0.09 as p < α (0.05), so H0 is rejected so it can be concluded that
there is correlation between the level of knowledge accommodation or boarding
house manager with a domestic waste management conditions in Sumbersari village
Jember regency. While H0 is accepted so that it can be concluded that there is no
relationship between attitudes lodging or boarding house manager with a domestic
waste management conditions in the Sumbersari village Jember regency.
