Guava (Psidium Guajava L.) has been widely used to treat health, this is related to its flavonoid content. This study aims to determine whether Near-Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy and chemometric methods can be used to determine the total flavonoid content in crystal guava fruit. The UV-Vis spectrophotometric method was used as a comparison. NIR spectra data from crystal guava fruit samples were correlated with total flavonoid content using chemometric methods. The chemometric methods used in this study are PLS, PCR, and SVR. The PLS model gave good results with R-Square and RMSE values of 0,9885 and 0,0041, respectively. The results of determining of total flavonoid content in crystal guava fruit samples obtained from the NIR spectroscopy and UV-Vis spectrophotometry methods were then tested with a paired sample T test and gave results that had no significant difference. So it can be concluded that the total flavonoid content in crystal guava fruit can be determined using NIR spectroscopy and chemometric methods.en_US
