HUBUNGAN ANTARA POLA KONSUMSI ZINK DENGAN KEJADIAN STUNTING PADA ANAK BALITA UMUR 25-59 bulan (Studi Kasus di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kalisat Kabupaten Jember)
Abstract
Stunting is a retardation linier growth (short body) which has been widely used as an
indicator to measure the nutritional status of the community. Incidence of stunting
among toddlers are caused by various factors that are more complex than in adult,
particularly the problem of micronutrient deficiencies such as zinc deficiency. This
study aimed to analyze the assosiation between zinc consumption pattern with the
incidence of stunting among toddlers (25-59 months) in working area kalisat public
health center Jember Regency. Prevalence of stunting in Indonesia 2012 was 35,6%.
This study is an observational analytic study conducted by cross sectional. Sample of
this study were 62 toddlers, sampling method system random sampling, and were
analyzed using Gamma. The results showed that zinc consumption patterns have a
significant assosiation with the incidence of stunting among toddlers. Based on this,
the parents are expected to pay more attention toddlers consumption patterns,
especially patterns of consumption of zinc.
