Womenomics policy anticipated the gender equality issue in Japan, which is the subject of this study. The authors argue whether the inability to achieve the goals of the Womenomics program is attributable to elements of the political system, as perceived by liberal feminism, or to other elements, like as culture. The goal of this study is to ascertain whether the Womenomics program's inability to achieve its objectives is a result of bad government policies, as viewed through the prism of liberal feminism. According to Robert Cox's critical theory, issues related to the Womenomics policy, where goals aren't achieved as expected, are brought on by the work culture adopted by Japanese businesses, which continues to impose indirect discrimination against female employees, one of which is the culture of long work hours. In other words, liberal feminism emphasizes "freedom from" more than "freedom for" and ignores the underlying causes of gender inequality that contribute to women's growing discriminationen_US
