The sudden change of learning method caused educators to need more preparation for choosing useful English online learning activities. This study was intended to explore students’ opinions about the useful English online learning activities that could help them make the English online learning more effective. The analysis process will conclude with six steps of thematic analysis, which are becoming familiar with the data, generating initial codes, searching for themes, reviewing themes, defining themes and writing-up. Qualitative data analysis software, NVIVO14, was used to help generate codes and themes that made up the findings. Based on the findings of this research, there are five main themes of students’ opinions on the useful English online learning activities, namely, Language component learning, Language learning strategies, Content language learning, Language material learning and Language skills learning.
