Pengaruh Pendidikan Kesehatan melalui Media Audiovisual (Vidio) terhadap Pengetahuan dan Sikap Ibu Hamil di Wilayah Perkebunan Desa Jatiroto Kabupaten Lumajang

Abstract

Anemia was a health issue that was prone to occur among pregnant women with prevalence rate according to the World Health Organization (WHO) of 41.8%.The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of health education with Audiovisual (vidio) on knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women in Jatiroto village, Lumajang Regency. The type of research used was a quasi-experimental with the research design used was non-equivalent control group pretest posttest design. The sampling technique was non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling approach with a total sample of 58 respondents divided in to the experimental and control groups.The results of the Wilcoxon test showed that the average pre-test and post-test knowledge of pregnant women with video media had a mean difference (5.14) and that of pregnant women with a different mean (17.24). The results of the Mann Whitney Test showed that video media had an effect on increasing knowledge (p=0.001) and attitudes of pregnant women (p=0,000). The N-gain value test showed that video media was more effective than leaflet media (p=0,000). Audiovisual (video) has the effect of increasing the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women because it presents a series of interesting and easy-to-understand pictures and words so that it is hoped that health workers can apply health education through vidio to increase knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women in the prevention of anemia.
