Toksisitas Campuran Ekstrak Buah Jeruk Nipis (Citrus Aurantifolia) dan Biji Ketumbar (Coriandrum Sativum L.) terhadap Mortalitas Nyamuk Culex SP. Serta Pemanfaatannya sebagai Leaflet

Abstract

Mosquitoes Culex sp. included in the type of mosquito which is the main vector of filariasis. Efforts to prevent filariasis are carried out in several ways such as the use of larvicides, synthetic insecticides and others. Fruits that are very appropriate to be developed as larvicidal agents are lime (Citrus aurantifolia) and coriander seeds (Coriandrum sativum L.), so that they can be used as useful mixtures in the manufacture of larvicides. This study aims to determine the toxicity (LC50) of a mixture of lime extract and coriander seeds on mosquito mortality (Culex sp.) within 24 hours of exposure. Extract preparation by maceration process and 97% ethanol solvent. The test phase was carried out by inserting the larvae into the extract mixture which had been dissolved in distilled water and using a predetermined concentration series. The LC50 was determined by probit analysis using the SPSS 16 application. The results showed that the higher the concentration used, the higher the mortality rate of Culex sp. the value of LC50 is 1026.749 ppm with a lower limit of 846.406 ppm and an upper limit of 1294.531 ppm.
