The burden and demands of work in the ICU can cause burnout for nurses, if it occurs continuously it will have an impact on the caring behavior of nurses in providing nursing care to patients. This study aims to determine the relationship between burnout syndrome and the caring behavior of nurses in the ICU RSD Dr. Soebandi Jember. The design of this research is a correlational study with a cross-sectional approach. Respondents in this study amounted to 35 nurses with the sampling technique being total sampling. Data were collected using the Professional Quality of Life (ProQOL-V) questionnaire and the Nurse Caring Behavior Questionnaire. The results of the validity test of the Professional Quality of Life Scale (ProQOL) questionnaire were (r > 0.361) with Cronbach alpha = 0.928. While the results of the validity of the Nurse Caring Behavior Questionnaire were (r > 0.388) with Cronbach alpha = 0.927. The results of the Spearman Rank correlation test (p = 0.244; r = -0.202) where Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted, which means that there is no relationship between burnout syndrome and the caring behavior of nurses in the ICU room at RSUD Dr. Soebandi Jember. In this study, good affectionate behavior in ICU nurses at Dr. Soebandi Hospital means that nurses have a high sense of work professionalism, so whatever nurses experience such as high workloads and demands can cause burnout and not affect the quality of nursing care to patients.en_US
