dc.description.abstract | This study was conducted to identify the effect of mind mapping technique on Senior High School students’ speaking achievement. Based on the preliminary study, it was known that the tenth grade students of SMAN Ambulu had a difficulty in speaking in English language because the students did not use it in daily lives. This study applied quantitave method, using quasi-experimental with post-test only design. The two classes at SMAN Ambulu were chosen as participants for this research, one class belonged to the experimental class and the other belonged to the control class. The students in the experimental class were taught speaking by using mind mapping technique, meanwhile the students who belong to the control class were taught by using conventional way. The finding of this study showed that the students who belonged to the experimental class got higher mean score (61,87) than those who belonged to control class (36,66). It could be concluded that mind mapping technique had a significant effect on senior high school students’ speaking achievement. | en_US |
