dc.description.abstractThis research was an experimental research. The purpose of this study was to know whether or not there is a significant effect of using video stories on senior high school students’ reading comprehension achievement. The design of this study was quasi experimental with Post-test only design. The treatment was given to Experimental group that was taught narrative text using Video Stories while Control group was taught narrative text using conventional text. The primary data of this research were obtained from the students’ score of reading test. The data were analyzed with t-test formula. From the calculation, the mean score of the experimental group was higher than the control group. It was 95.83 for experimental group and 93.0 for control group with the value of Sig (2-tailed) was 0.044 lower than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that null hypothesis (H0) was rejected while the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Based on the results of hypothesis verification, it can be concluded that there was a significant effect of using video stories on the tenth-grade students’ reading comprehension achievement.en_US
