Efektivitas Pendidikan Kesehatan Reproduksi dengan Metode Small Group Discussion terhadap Sikap Tentang Reproduksi Remaja di Kabupaten Jember
Abstract
A reproductive health is a physical, mental and social well-being health in all matters
relating to the reproductive system, function and process. Health education provides benefits
in assessing attitudes related to reproductive health. This study aims to determine the
effectiveness of reproductive health education with the small group discussion method on
attitudes about adolescent reproduction in Jember Regency. This research was used preexperimental study design with Pretest-posttest with Control Group Design. Twenty-three
adolescents were divided into two groups, one treatment group and control group. Samples
were obtained by using total sampling technique. A reproductive health attitude
questionnaire that consists of 10 question items was used for data collection. Most of the
respondents are 17 years old and most of them are female. The T test dependent results on
the treatment group obtained p value = 0.0001, and the control group obtained p value =
0.443. The independent T test result obtained p value of 0.001 (<0.05) which means there
was an effect of health education by using small group discussion methods on adolescent
attitudes in reproductive health. The results of this study concluded that providing health
education by using small group discussion methods is effective in changing attitudes in
adolescents regarding reproductive health. Giving health education by using small group
discussion method can increase good attitude in adolescent regarding reproductive health.
