Studi Komparatif Stres Perawat yang Bekerja di Unit Gawat Darurat dan Ruang Isolasi pada Masa Pandemi COVID-19 di Rumah Sakit Kabupaten Jember
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has had many impacts on various sectors, especially the
health sector. Nurses who work 24 hours with patients must always provide
holistic nursing care to patients with COVID-19 who have a very high risk of
contracting it. Lack of personal protective equipment availability, high workload,
anxiety and worry, and lack of social support for nurses caused stress to nurses
working in the Emergency Unit and COVID-19 Isolation Room. This study aimed
to compare the stress of nurses working in the Emergency Unit and Isolation
Room during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Jember Regency Hospital. The
design used in this study was a comparative study using 65 nurses as the sample
in the working area of Jember Paru Hospital and 3rd level Baladhika Husada
Hospital. The research instrument used in this study was a Healthcare Workers'
Stress questionnaire. The test used Mann-Whitney.The result of median test
comparison showed that stress score of emergency room was 21 while the
isolation room was 32. The bivariate analysis results showed that there was a
different level of stress of nurses in the emergency and isolation room at the
Jember Regency Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic caused by factors of
anxiety and social isolation, use of PPE, fear of being infected with the virus, and
the high burden of caring for patients.
