The Use of Digital Story to Improve the Tenth Grade Students’ Listening Comprehension Achievement
Abstract
This classroom action research was intended to improve the X MMD
(Multimedia) 1 grade students’ listening comprehension achievement by using
digital story. Based on the interview with the English teacher, it was found out
that the students still had difficulties in listening where they could not control the
speed of delivery, or how fast the speaker speaks. Besides having a limited
vocabulary and media, the students were not interested in the material and they
got bored. To solve this problem, the English teachers need to find creative media
to make listening activity more effective and fun. One of the media that can be
used is digital story.
