A Stylistic Analysis on Henry Lawson's Poems

Abstract

Stylistic is the study of the language of literature which employs a descriptive framework derived from models of Iinguistic theory. It is a method of textual interpretation in which primary of place is assigned to language. The purpose of stylistic study is to show how the language of literature is related to the internal organization of literary texts. All texts whether literary or non literacy are instances of verbal structure. Poem is one of the form of literary texts deriving its particular effects from precise language patterns. It consticutes a literary text that can be analyzed from linguistic point of view.
