dc.description.abstract | Learning environment is defined as the whole set of teaching and learning
activities around the situation that can influence the development of students to
learn. This study aimed to describe the perceptions of students about the
academic learning environment which includes aspects of the learning process,
teaching, academic achievement, learning atmosphere, and social environment in
the nursing faculty of the University of Jember. This study used descriptive
research with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used a
proportionate stratified random sampling with 281 nursing students. The
instrument in this study uses the Dundee Questionnaire Ready Education
Environment Measure (DREEM) is a measurement tool to measure the learning
environment. The results of this study indicated that the mean DREEM score was
at 145.48 / 200 (SD 14.13) is in the good category. Although the learning
environment is in a good category, there are several indicators that need to be
improved so that they can maintain the quality of education going forward. Some
items with low scores need further action. So in improving the learning
environment evaluation is needed to address the shortcomings or strengths that
exist in the learning environment. This research has implications for the need to
