dc.description.abstractCV Prima Jaya Engineering is a business entity operating as a fabrication contractor in the manufacturing of production equipment or machinery, particularly conveyor systems. Based on the company’s historical data, project delays were identified in several previously executed contracts, especially in the Conveyor Tunnel Machine project. These delays occurred due to the absence of a systematic project scheduling method during project implementation. As a result, the company was subjected to project delay penalties that significantly reduced profitability and adversely affected the company’s reputation among clients, which in the long term may influence the sustainability and development of the company’s business operations. This study aims to evaluate the project scheduling of the Conveyor Tunnel Machine project in order to provide a guideline for the company in executing future projects, particularly in determining project duration and cost. The data used in this study are quantitative in nature. Primary data were obtained through interviews with the project manager, while secondary data were collected from the documentation of the project contract value. The data analysis methods employed include the Critical Path Method (CPM) as the project scheduling technique, supported by Microsoft Project Professional 2024, and the Time Cost Trade Off (TCTO) method as an approach for project acceleration. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Critical Path Method produces a critical path, namely A–B–D–F–G–I–L. The Critical Path Method is also able to reduce the project duration to 483 working hours from 528 working hours. Meanwhile, the application of the Time Cost Trade Off method results in an optimal project duration of 403 working hours by adding 1 hour of overtime to critical activities, with the consequence of an additional cost of IDR 1,425,813, bringing the total cost of the Conveyor Tunnel Machine project to IDR 42,904,875.
