Fenomena Warna Lokal Bali dalam Novel Jejak Dedari: yang Menari di Antara Mitos dan Karma Karya Erwin Arnanda dan Pemanfaatannya sebagai Alternatif Materi Pembelajaran Sastra Indonesia di SMA

Abstract

This study aims to describe the phenomenon of Balinese local color contained in Erwin Arnanda's novel Jejak Dedari and its use as an alternative learning material for Indonesian literature in high school. This study uses a literary anthropology approach with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data in this study consist of words, phrases, sentences, and paragraphs in the novel that contain elements of Balinese local color. The research data sources include Erwin Arnanda's novel Jejak Dedari, interviews with traditional leaders and leaders of the kolok community in Bengkala Village, and curriculum documents. Data collection techniques used were documentation and interviews, while data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Jejak Dedari contains the phenomenon of Balinese local color represented through three cultural elements: the social system, the livelihood system, and the belief system. The social system is depicted through the social structure and life of the traditional village community; the livelihood system is seen through the community's economic activities such as arts and traditional occupations; while the belief system is reflected in the community's belief in traditions, myths, and spiritual practices. The results of this research will then be used as alternative literature learning materials in high schools that are relevant to local wisdom-based learning in the Independent Curriculum.
