Pengembangan Media Interaktif Pop Up Book Untuk Menstimulasi Toilet Training Anak Kelompok Bermain di KB/TK Darus Sholah

Abstract

Toilet training is one of the important aspects of early childhood independence development. The results of observations at KB/TK Darus Sholah showed that toilet training learning, especially urination activities, had not been carried out systematically and was still dominated by verbal explanations without the use of attractive learning media. This condition caused the children's toilet training abilities to remain low. This study aimed to develop an interactive pop-up book media that is valid, practical, and effective in stimulating the toilet training abilities of playgroup children at KB/TK Darus Sholah. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The subjects of this study were 12 children aged 3–4 years in the playgroup at KB/TK Darus Sholah Jember. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires. The research instruments included expert validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and observation sheets of children's toilet training abilities. Data analysis was conducted using validity, practicality, and effectiveness analyses through N-Gain calculations. The results showed that the interactive popup book media obtained a validity score of 86.25%, which was categorized as very feasible. The practicality test obtained a percentage score of 89.28%, which was categorized as very practical. Meanwhile, the effectiveness test showed an N-Gain score of 0.73 or 73%, which was categorized as effective. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the developed interactive pop-up book media is valid, practical, and effective, making it suitable for stimulating the toilet training abilities of playgroup children at KB/TK Darus Sholah.
