The low level of entrepreneurial interest among Generation Z remains a serious challenge, particularly among university students who are expected to become agents of economic development. One of the strategic efforts to foster entrepreneurial interest is through entrepreneurship education. However, previous studies show inconsistent results regarding the direct influence of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial interest, indicating the need to consider internal psychological factors such as self-efficacy. This study aims to analyze the effect of entrepreneurship education on entrepreneurial interest through self-efficacy as an intervening variable among Generation Z students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Jember. This study employed a quantitative research approach with an explanatory design. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Jember. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The population consisted of 3,127 FKIP students who had taken entrepreneurship education courses, with a sample of 194 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS software. The results show that entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy. Furthermore, entrepreneurship education and self-efficacy each have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. The findings also indicate that self-efficacy is able to positively and significantly mediate the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial interest. These results suggest that entrepreneurship education can effectively increase students’ entrepreneurial interest when it is able to strengthen their self-efficacy.
