dc.description.abstractComposite can be defined as a material consisting of a matrix and reinforcing elements. The properties of composite materials can be influenced by particle size, the types of constituent materials, and the manufacturing process. Composite materials can be used in various fields, such as in sensors or electrodes. Working electrode can be composed of various materials depending on the analyte, for example composite. Composite used in this study consists of polyaniline (PANi), graphene oxide (GO), epoxy, and cobalt (II, III) oxide (𝐶𝑜3𝑂4). PANi and GO were obtained using modified synthesis methods, Polymerization for PANi and Hummer’s method for GO. The composite components were then varied to obtain electrodes with optimum performance using potentiometry method, then modified by sanding the surface with 800-grit sandpaper. The optimum electrode was then used to detect phosphate ions in soil sample. The synthesis processes were successful, as evidenced by the FTIR analysis result. The results obtained from the optimization are the fifth mass variation composite electrode without surface sanding, with a mass ratio of GO and 𝐶𝑜3𝑂4 is 0.5:0.1. The electrode who has optimum performance has sensitivity value of -5.3416 mV/decade, linearity of 0.9718, conductance of 0,607 S, and repeatability in the range of 0.065-0.38%. The measurement of soil sample has phosphor value of 11,123 𝑚𝑔/𝑘𝑔. The results of this study indicate that the PANi-Epoxy-GO-𝐶𝑜3𝑂4 composite electrode can be used for phosphate ions detection in soil samples.
