Pengaruh Kompetensi terhadap Kinerja Aparatur Desa di Kantor Desa se Kecamatan Rambipuji Kabupaten Jember

Abstract

Based on the results of preliminary observations, the performance of village officials in Rambipuji sub-district has been classified as good, this is proven by the 2022 LAKIP results for Rambipuji sub-district on the indicator of the percentage of independent villages which have obtained satisfactory results, however problems are still found related to the competence of village officials in the Rambipuji sub-district area, including there are still officials who cannot prepare planning reports correctly and on time, there are still officials who are still unable to take advantage of the use of technology. In carrying out their duties, each apparatus must have high competence so that it will produce optimal performance. Simanjuntak (2005) stated that employee performance is influenced by the competence they have, so that the higher the competence they have, the higher the performance achieved. This research aims to explain the influence of competency on the performance of village officials in village offices throughout Rambipuji District. The data collected using questionnaires, observation, interviews and documentation. The population was all village officials in village offices throughout Rambipuji District, totaling 106 people. sampling in this research used the opinion expressed by Frankel and Wallen (1993:92) who said that the sample size that can be used for correlational research is at least 50 samples, using Cluster Random Sampling technique. The collected data was tested for validity using Pearson Product Moment correlation and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha.. Valid and reliable data was tasted of corellation using the Spearman rank correlation, The results are then tested by the T test. This test produces a figure of 0.717, meaning that there is a strong influence between competency variables on apparatus performance. Furthermore, the t test calculation produces the number 7.129 > 1.677 so it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence of the competency variable on apparatus performance
