Abstract
This study aims to identify and analyze the problems faced by teachers in carrying out their roles in implementing the Kurikulum Merdeka in class 1 of the inclusive school SDN 02 Taman Kota Madiun. The Kurikulum Merdeka emphasizes student centered learning and differentiation, which requires teachers to have adaptive pedagogical skills, especially in the context of inclusion that presents students with diverse learning needs. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with class 1 teachers, principals, guardians of regular and special needs students and documentation related to the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in class 1 of SDN 02 Taman Kota Madiun. Class 1 teachers face difficulties in providing optimal educational services to students with special needs due to two main factors, namely limited competence due to educational backgrounds that are not from special education, and lack of support and cooperation from the principal and parents of students. The problems hinder the creation of effective and comprehensive learning according to the needs of individual students.
