Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the use of technology in education has increased significantly and continues even after the pandemic. One popular technology-based learning tool is Quizizz, which combines instructional content with game elements to create engaging learning experiences. It offers interactive features such as memes, music, and real-time feedback. However, many students still struggle with vocabulary acquisition, which affects their ability to read, speak, write, and listen effectively. Few studies have examined vocational high schools with a more specific vocabulary context, such as synonyms, antonyms, word definitions, and collocations, despite the fact that a lot of studies have shown the benefits of using Quizizz as a tool for enhancing students' vocabulary. Using a collaborative learning approach, this study attempts to assess how effectively Quizizz, a game-based technology, assists vocational high school students in discovering four types of vocabulary: synonyms, antonyms, word definitions, and collocations.
