dc.description.abstractThe most important element in the learning process is the use of media that influences the achievement of learning objectives. Educational media serve as a tool to facilitate the delivery of material in the learning process. The ease of accessing material today is supported by technological advancements. Technological development affects the use of various types of media as aids in the learning process, making them useful both inside and outside the classroom (remote learning). This ease has significant implications in various fields of learning, including Indonesian language instruction for seventh-grade junior high school students, particularly in journalism, which requires characteristics such as engaging content, skillful delivery of the 5W+1H, precise word and language choice, and the ability to develop critical situational analysis. Therefore, learners also need interactive educational media that can make it easier for them to absorb material, remain enthusiastic, engaged, and see improvements in the learning process. The aim of this research is to describe the development process, determine the validity, and assess students' responses to interactive learning media assisted by the Genially application. The methodology used in this research is R&D (Research and Development) with the Plomp development model, consisting of three development phases: Preliminary Phase, Development or Prototyping Phase, and Assessment Phase. Based on the validator's assessment, the interactive learning media was deemed valid and highly suitable for implementation, with a score percentage of 90%. Students' responses to overall aspects received percentages of 91% and 87%, and the overall attitude response received percentages of 90% and 89%. These results indicate that the developed interactive learning media is highly suitable, capable of motivating, sparking interest, curiosity, enthusiasm, expanding students' knowledge, and can be implemented in teaching.
