dc.description.abstractThe wedding equipment rental industry has experienced rapid growth due to the increasing demand for practical and efficient services in organizing wedding events. UD. XYZ, as a company providing wedding equipment such as tents, chairs, stages, and decorations, faces several operational problems. These include discrepancies between actual stock and recorded inventory data, unrecorded outgoing rental items, delayed updates of damaged or lost equipment, and the lack of centralized document management. These issues result in inefficient business processes, data inconsistencies, duplication of work, and increased operational costs. This study aims to analyze the current business processes at UD. XYZ, identify the root causes of the problems using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and design improved business processes through the Business Process Improvement (BPI) approach using the Eliminate, Simplify, Integrate, and Automate (ESIA) method. The research methods include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis is conducted using the 5 Whys technique and fishbone diagrams. Business process modeling is performed using Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). The results indicate that there are repetitive activities causing work duplication, as well as processes that can be integrated and automated to improve efficiency and data consistency. The RCA findings reveal that the main root causes are the absence of an integrated inventory management system and the lack of awareness regarding the financial impact of non-centralized document management. The proposed business process design using the ESIA framework demonstrates improved effectiveness in terms of time, cost, and employee utilization. In conclusion, the implementation of BPI through RCA and ESIA provides a systematic and practical solution to enhance business process efficiency and service quality at UD. XYZ.
