Abstract
This research is driven by the low critical thinking skills among students and the limited availability of interactive teaching materials. The study aims to develop a STEM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Electronic Student Worksheet (E-LKPD) to enhance the critical thinking skills of junior high school students on the topic of Work, Energy, and Simple Machines. The research and development (R&D) method follows the ADDIE model, involving 22 students from SMPN 2 Maesan as research subjects. Data collection instruments included validation sheets, observation of learning implementation, student response questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test questions to measure improvements in critical thinking. The results indicate that the STEM-based E-LKPD is highly feasible, with a validity percentage of 99,31% (Very Valid) and a practicality percentage of 94,99% (Very Practical). The effectiveness of the E-LKPD is evidenced by a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills, with the average pre-test score rising from 31,91 to 86,37 in the post-test, resulting in an N-gain score of 0,8 (High category). Additionally, students provided very positive feedback with a response percentage of 98,96%. In conclusion, the developed STEM-based E-LKPD is a valid, practical, and highly effective tool for improving the critical thinking skills of junior high school students in science education.
