Model Pembelajaran Humanizing The Classroom dalam Membangun Lingkungan Belajar di Program Kesetaraan Paket C PKBM Kartini Kabupaten Jember

Abstract

This study examines of the Humanizing The Classroom learning model in building a learning environment at the Equality Education Program Package C of PKBM Kartini Jember. The diverse backgrounds of learners in non-formal education require a learning approach that not only focuses on academic achievement but also respects learners' experiences, needs, and potentials. Therefore, the Humanizing The Classroom model was implemented to create a more humanistic and meaningful learning process. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The research location was determined using the purposive area technique at PKBM Kartini Jember. The research subjects consisted of tutors and learners of the Package C Equality Education Program selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the Humanizing The Classroom learning model was reflected in three aspects: recognizing oneself as a developing individual, developing self-concept and identity, and integrating emotional and intellectual awareness. The implementation of this model contributed to the creation of a positive learning environment. The social learning environment was characterized by open communication, mutual respect, equality, and active participation, while the physical learning environment was supported by comfortable learning facilities and infrastructure. It can be concluded that the Humanizing The Classroom learning model plays an important role in creating a humanistic, inclusive, and conducive learning environment for learners in the Package C Equality Education Program at PKBM Kartini Jember.
