Penentuan Kandidat Water Shut-off Berbasis Heterogeneity Index dan Desain Squeeze Cementing Berdasarkan Swab Test pada Lapangan MRV

dc.description.abstractExcessive water production is a common problem in mature oil fields because it reduces oil production efficiency and increases fluid handling requirements. This study determines water shut-off candidates based on the Heterogeneity Index and develops squeeze cementing designs based on swab test results in the MRV Field. The data consisted of production data from 30 active wells in October 2024, well histories, well schematics, swab job reports, fracture gradients, and cement slurry test report references. Candidate selection was conducted through HI Oil and HI Water calculations, cross-hair plot classification, linear max-min normalization, and Simple Additive Weighting ranking. The weighting consisted of 46.67% for HI Oil, 23.33% for HI Water, and 30% for rig mobilization, which included effective distance, location access, and elevation. The screening identified Wells V-1, V-2, V-6, V-7, V-10, V-13, V-17, and V-21 in Quadrant IV, representing low-oil and high-water production characteristics. Well V-2 obtained the highest SAW score of 84.0, followed by Well V-1 with 74.2, and both were selected as the main candidates. Their water cuts were 99% and 98%, respectively. Swab test evaluation established a squeeze-all target of 1538–1619 ft for Well V-1 and a target interval of 1454–1490 ft for Well V-2. The Well V-1 design requires 12 bbl of slurry, 58 sacks of cement, 7 bbl of mixing fluid, and 26 bbl of spacer. Well V-2 uses two-stage placement, consisting of 16 bbl of slurry in the first placement and 7 bbl in the second placement. The slurry compositions use an anti-foam agent, fluid-loss agent, anti-gas-migration agent, and retarder. The calculated surface squeeze-pressure limits are 212 psi for Well V-1 and 165 psi for the second placement of Well V-2. Both wells are designed using bradenhead placement, hesitation pumping, and low pressure squeeze operations to place cement without creating new formation fractures.
