DISFEMISME WARGANET DALAM KOLOM KOMENTAR AKUN INSTAGRAM @BAHLILLAHADALIA (KAJIAN SEMANTIK)

Abstract

This study discusses the phenomenon of dysphemism in the comment section of the official Instagram account of Bahlil Lahadalia, @bahlillahadalia. Dysphemism is an expression with negative connotations that is hurtful and disturbing, often used by netizens to express dislike, hatred, or mockery either directly or figuratively. This study is qualitative with a descriptive approach, using data in the form of words, phrases, and sentences in comments and replies on the account's posts throughout the year 2025. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of the study show the presence of literal dysphemism, such as taboo terms, physical nicknames, insults related to mental abnormalities, as well as discrimination based on race, age, and social class; and figurative dysphemism, in the form of comparisons of humans to animals and disrespectful mockery. Netizens tend to use literal dysphemism to express emotions directly. This finding reinforces that social media comment sections have become spaces for openly venting emotions. This study is expected to be beneficial for students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, future researchers, and Indonesian language teachers as a reference for understanding literal and figurative meanings through dysphemism.
