Kajian Perubahan Indeks Kualitas Tutupan Lahan terhadap Suhu Udara di Kabupaten Jember

Abstract

The Land Cover Quality Index is used to represent green issues in assessing environmental quality management policies. Changes in the Land Cover Quality Index are influenced by the area of forest cover, forest and land rehabilitation policies. Changes in air temperature are influenced by the increase in population, El-Nino events and changes in land cover. Changes in the Land Cover Quality Index each year can affect environmental conditions such as air temperature. Studies related to changes in air temperature in Jember Regency need to be carried out to determine changes in air temperature over 9 years (2015-2023) and the factors that influence them, especially changes in land cover based on the Land Cover Quality Index. Trend analysis is used to determine changes in air temperature. Regression analysis was used to determine the effect of the Land Cover Quality Index on changes in air temperature in Jember Regency. The research results show that during 2015-2023 the air temperature in Jember Regency has a tendency to increase by 0.0533 per year. The influence of the Land Cover Quality Index on current air temperature based on data adjusted to the latest regulations produces a polynomial model y = 0.1721x2 - 17.451x + 469.45. This research concludes that the trend of increasing air temperature in Jember Regency is caused by the El-Nino event and an increase in population, as well as forest and land rehabilitation efforts have the potential to reduce air temperature in Jember Regency based on the resulting polynomial regression model.
