dc.description.abstractNatural gas production processes generally produce gas that still contains a relatively high amount of water vapor due to reservoir pressure and temperature conditions. The presence of water may lead to operational problems such as corrosion, deterioration of gas quality, and hydrate formation that can block flow lines and disrupt production continuity. Dehydration process is required to reduce the water content to meet sales gas specifications. This study aims to analyze the effect of operating conditions on the performance of gas dehydration using Triethylene Glycol (TEG) and to determine the most appropriate property package for Aspen Hysys simulation based on actual field conditions. The research methodology includes a literature review, field data collection, dehydration process modeling using Aspen Hysys, and a comparative analysis between the Glycol Package and Peng Robinson property packages. The operating parameters analyzed include pressure, temperature, and TEG circulation rate. The simulation results indicate that the Peng Robinson property package provides a prediction of outlet gas water content that is closer to actual field data compared to the Glycol Package. Increasing TEG concentration and circulation rate significantly reduces water content and shifts hydrate formation conditions to lower temperatures. It can be concluded that selecting an appropriate property package and properly controlling operating parameters are key factors in improving gas dehydration efficiency and preventing hydrate formation in natural gas production facilities.
