dc.description.abstractIntroduction: Breast cancer is a chronic disease that not only affects physical conditions, but also has significant psychological aspects, especially among patients undergoing chemotherapy. One psychological problem experience by breast cancer patients is self-stigma, which can influence how patients perceive themselves and subsequently affect their level of self-esteem. This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-stigma and self-esteem among breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Baladhika Husada Hospital Jember. Method: This study employ a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consist of 195 breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, with 74 patients select using consecutive sampling. The inclusion criteria include female patients diagnose with breast cancer, those who had undergone at least one cycle of chemotherapy, and those who were willing to participate in the study. The Instruments use are the Breast Cancer Stigma Assessment Scale (BCSAS) and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. (RSES) Bivariate analysis using the Kendall`s Taub statistical test. Result: The results show that most respondents have moderate self-stigma (62.2%), and most respondents have high self-esteem (78.4%). Analyze: The bivariate analysis using Kendall's Tau-b test show a significant relationship between self-stigma and self-esteem of breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy (p-value = 0.003) with a negative correlation and moderate strength (r = -0.341). This indicates that the higher the self-stigma, the lower the patient's self-esteem. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between self-stigma and self-esteem among breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Therefore, nurses are expected to enhance their role as educators to help reduce self-stigma and maintain positive self-esteem in patients
