| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Breast cancer patients may experience declining spirituality, such as believing the illness is a punishment from God or being unable to accept the disease and its treatment, which can trigger anger, hopelessness, and depression. Patients need high self-efficacy to stay adherent to therapy, and spiritual well-being can help them feel more emotionally stable throughout treatment. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between spiritual well-being and self-efficacy in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Baladhika Husada Level III Hospital, Jember. Methodology: This is a quantitative study with a correlational approach and a cross-sectional design involving 84 respondents using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Spiritual Well-being Scale (SWBS) and the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE). Results: The mean score for spiritual well- being was 96.82, with a median of 97.00 (min-max = 73-116). The mean score for self-efficacy was 35.54, with a median of 36.00 (min-max = 30-40). Statistical analysis using the Spearman-Rho test yielded r = 0.447 and p = 0.000. Conclusion: There is a moderate positive correlation between spiritual well-being and self- efficacy in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Baladhika Husada Level III Hospital, Jember, indicating that the higher the patients' spiritual well- being, the higher their self-efficacy tends to be. Patients with good spiritual well- being tend to interpret their illness and treatment process more positively through inner peace and a transcendent relationship with God, which in turn strengthens their self-confidence in facing the side effects of chemotherapy. Nurses are expected to provide holistic nursing care, particularly in the spiritual aspect, in order to improve patients' self-efficacy throughout the treatment process. | |
