Pengembangan Modul Edp-Stem Topik Ekosistem Melalui Proyek Ecobrick Untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Sains Kelas V

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an EDP-STEM (Engineering Design Process–Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) module on ecosystem topics through an ecobrick project that is valid, practical, and effective in improving the scientific literacy of fifth-grade elementary school students. This Research and Development (R&D) study employed the 4-D model, consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The participants were 21 fifth-grade students at SDN Sumbersari 3. Data were collected using validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and scientific literacy tests. Data analysis included validity, reliability, practicality, and effectiveness tests. The results showed that the product validity score was 0.82 (valid). The test instrument and practicality questionnaire obtained validity scores of 0.82 and 0.89, respectively, both categorized as valid. The instrument reliability coefficient was 0.8809, indicating very high reliability. The practicality test yielded 92.9% (very practical), while the average N-Gain score was 0.74 (high). These findings indicate that the developed EDP-STEM module through the ecobrick project is valid, practical, and effective for improving elementary school students' scientific literacy on ecosystem topics.
