Pengembangan Media E-Book Berbasis Etnososial pada Topik Indahnya Keragaman Budaya Negeriku untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas IV SDN Tamanan 1 Bondowoso

Abstract

This research was motivated by the limited use of digital learning media that integrate local wisdom and cultural diversity in elementary school learning. The study aimed to develop an ethnosocial-based topic e-book on the beauty of my country is cultural diversity and to evaluate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving cognitive learning outcomes. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation phases. The implementation and field testing were conducted with fourth-grade students at SDN Tamanan 1 Bondowoso. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, pre-test and post-test instruments. The results showed that the e-book achieved a validity score of 96,2% from material experts, 93,7% from language experts, and 85.4% from media experts, all categorized as highly valid. Practicality evaluations yielded an average score of 87.5% from teachers and 88.5% from students, indicating that the media was highly practical and attractive for classroom use. The effectiveness test demonstrated a significant improvement in students’ cognitive learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 50.89 in the pre-test to 78.22 in the post-test, resulting in an N-Gain score of 0.56, which falls into the moderate effectiveness category. In conclusion, the ethnosocial-based e-book developed in this study is highly valid, practical, and effective, making it a feasible learning medium for improving students’ cognitive learning outcomes while fostering understanding and appreciation of local cultural diversity.
