Mekanisme Pengawasan Fasilitas Operasional Bandara I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Bali oleh Terminal Service Support

Abstract

This final project report discusses the mechanism of operational facility supervision at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, conducted by the Terminal Service Support (TSS) unit of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia. The TSS unit plays a central role in ensuring that all airport facilities function properly and support smooth passenger services across departure, boarding Gate, and arrival areas. The main focus of this study is to analyze how the supervision mechanism contributes to maintaining service quality and operational efficiency. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, with data collection through field observations, interviews with relevant staff, documentation, and direct involvement of the author during the internship program. The results indicate that supervision activities are carried out through routine inspections, monitoring facility conditions, reporting damages, and coordinating with related units for maintenance. TSS staff also demonstrate responsiveness in handling unexpected issues such as facility breakdowns and increased passenger flow. In addition, effective communication and coordination among units play an important role in ensuring timely problem resolution. The findings show that the implementation of structured supervision significantly supports passenger comfort and operational continuity. In conclusion, the role of Terminal Service Support is essential in maintaining airport service standards and improving overall operational performance. This report recommends strengthening coordination systems and implementing scheduled monitoring to enhance supervision effectiveness and service quality consistency.
