Pengaruh Model Project Based Learning (PjBL) Berbantuan Flash Card Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of elementary school students. One of the efforts made to improve students critical thinking skills is by implementing a project based learning (PjBL) model assisted by flash cards. This study aims to determine the effect of the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. This study uses a quantitative apporoach with a quasi experimental method (quasi experimental design) using a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study consisted of an experimental class that was given treatment in the form of a PjBl model assisted by flash card and a control class that used conventional learning. data collection techniques were carried out through pretest and posttest test of students critical thinking skills which included four indicators : interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and explanation. Data wete analyzed using statistical test to determine differences and improvements in students critical thinking skills. The result of the independent sample t-test showed a significat difference was found in the analysis and evaluation indicators. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that the flashcards-assisted PjBl model is effective in improving elementary school students critical thinking skills in science learning, particularly in the aspects of interpretation, evaluation, and explanation. Therefore, the flashcard-assisted PjBL model can be used as an innovative learning alternative to support the development of students’ critical thinking skills.
