This study examines the strategies used by English teachers in teaching vocabulary in English as a foreign language (EFL) classes for junior high school students in Indonesia. This study emphasizes the important role of vocabulary in language learning, especially for students learning English as a foreign language in an academic context. Since vocabulary mastery significantly affects students' ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, this study aims to investigate how teachers approach this important skill in real classroom situations. The research questions, objectives, and significance of the study are clearly defined to guide the research process.
