Pengaruh Model Project-Based Learning Berbasis Pendekatan Pembelajaran Mendalam (Deep Learning) terhadap Hasil Belajar IPAS Peserta Didik Kelas V SDN Mangli Pujer

Abstract

Quality education plays a vital role in developing high-quality human resources. One factor contributing to low educational quality is instruction that remains teacher-centered. Teacher-dominated instruction limits active student engagement, leading to passivity among learners, which in turn impacts their learning outcomes. Based on observations and interviews at SDN Mangli Pujer, it was found that students learning outcomes have not yet reached the minimum competency, they are less active in learning, and have difficulty understanding the material. Therefore, a learning model that can improve conceptual understanding and active student engagement is needed. This study aims to determine the effect of the Project-Based Learning model based on a deep learning approach on the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN Mangli Pujer. This research used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The study sample consisted of class VA as the experimental class with 20 students and class VB as the control class with 19 students. The experimental class was given the Project Based Learning model based on Deep Learning, while the control class used the Cooperative Learning model. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and pre-test and post-test learning outcomes tests. Data analysis used normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests using IBM SPSS version 27. The results showed that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project Based Learning model based on a deep learning approach significantly influenced the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN Mangli Pujer.
