dc.description.abstractThe background of this research is reviewed from the importance of scientific literacy skills in students. Although important, Indonesia still has an average of student scientific literacy below the OECD average. The development of information technology is also rapid to assist human work, including in the field of learning. Therefore, this study was conducted to see the effect of the project-based learning model based on AI ChatGPT on scientific literacy and learning outcomes of grade XII high school students. This research was conducted using a quasi-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design with research samples of the control class and the experimental class. The results obtained from this study are that there is an effect of learning in the classroom that can be reviewed from cognitive learning outcomes and scientific literacy before and after treatment. However, there is no effect of the provision of independent variables because the class has an abnormal value which is then tested with the Mann-Whitney analysis test with the result of no significance from the posttest results of the control class and the experimental class both cognitive learning outcomes and scientific literacy. This research is expected to provide improvements and new knowledge for further researchers regarding the integration of the PJBL learning model with AI ChatGPT on scientific literacy and students' cognitive learning outcomes.
