| dc.description.abstract | Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a critical food commodity for national food security. The conversion of productive land has led to the utilization of tidal swamp land as an alternative for rice cultivation, despite challenges like high soil acidity and low nutrient availability. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of application frequency of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) and Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) on the growth and yield of rice in tidal swamp land. The research was conducted from October to December 2024 in Gumukmas, Jember, using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors. The first factor was PGPR application frequency (0, 4, and 5 times within 5 weeks), and the second was LOF application frequency (0, 3, 4, and 6 times within 13 weeks), with three replications. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the interaction between PGPR and LOF frequency had a highly significant effect on plant height, leaf number, panicle emergence time, panicle length, fresh panicle weight, and 100-grain weight. The P2G3 treatment combination (PGPR 5 times, LOF 6 times) yielded the best vegetative growth and panicle quality. However, the interaction did not significantly affect dry grain weight or potential yield per hectare. Individually, both factors significantly influenced most parameters. The study concludes that while the interaction optimizes plant structure and grain quality, the P2G1 combination is the most efficient for maximizing yield potential in suboptimal land | |
