Analisis Pendidikan Kewirausahaan pada Peserta Didik Hambatan Pendengaran Kelas XI di SLB Negeri Jember

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze entrepreneurship education for hearing-impaired students in Grade XI at SLB Negeri Jember through practical learning in making traditional klepon cakes. The data used in this study were primary data obtained from observations and interviews with students, teachers, and parents, as well as secondary data obtained from school documents and related literature. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The results of the study indicate that entrepreneurship education implemented through culinary practice is able to develop entrepreneurial skills of hearing-impaired students. These skills include entrepreneurial character skills such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, perseverance, and independence, as well as technical skills in preparing tools and materials, following production stages, and producing klepon cakes properly. The learning process using visual and hands-on approaches increases students’ interest, motivation, and self- confidence in entrepreneurship activities. However, the development of entrepreneurship education has not been optimal due to the lack of specialized entrepreneurship teachers and limited collaboration with business and industry partners.
