Abstract
This study addresses the challenges faced by SMAK Satya Cendika Jember, particularly inefficient administrative and promotional processes and the limited integration of information management that may affect the school’s competitiveness. The study aims to design improved business processes, identify system requirements, and prioritize application features as a basis for developing an information system. A mixed-methods approach was employed by combining Product-Based Design, Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), Requirement Elicitation Method (REM), and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Existing (as-is) processes were analyzed and redesigned into to-be processes, which were then evaluated through BPMN simulation based on time and resource utilization. REM was subsequently used to derive functional requirements, while AHP was applied to prioritize 24 requirement alternatives using four criteria: completeness, cost, ease of implementation, and maturity. The results indicate that the proposed to-be processes require less completion time than the existing processes, while also introducing system involvement in resource utilization. REM produced 24 functional requirements covering promotion and public relations, student admission, attendance, grades, student data, and incoming and outgoing correspondence. The prioritized requirements were documented in a Software Requirements Specification (SRS) and used as the basis for developing the system wireframe. Overall, the integration of these methods provides a structured approach for improving school business processes and establishing prioritized information system requirements.
