Perencanaan Reklamasi Agroforestri Berbasis Tanaman Lokal dan Kesuburan Tanah Pascatambang Batugamping PT Pertama Mina Sutra Perkasa

Abstract

Limestone mining leaves post-mining land with alkaline soil conditions, low organic matter, and poor nutrient content. This study aims to analyze soil fertility, identify adaptive local plant species, and design an agroforestry reclamation model on ±4,53 ha of post-mining land owned by PT Pertama Mina Sutra Perkasa in Puger District, Jember Regency. Soil analysis results showed soil pH ranging from 6,41 to 9,06, with an average of 8,066. Organic carbon (C-Organic) content of 0,97% (very low), total nitrogen (N-total) of 0,10% (low), K₂O of 0,11 me/100 g (low), and P₂O₅ of 12,25 ppm (moderate). Land suitability evaluation indicated that plant species classified as moderately suitable (S2) include leucaena, mango, coconut, cashew, and maize, while marginally suitable (S3) species include sengon, teak, cassava, and groundnut. Kersen and tambelekan were recommended as green belt vegetation. The reclamation design was developed based on soil pH zoning. Areas with pH >8,0 apply an alternate rows pattern with a 5 m×5 m planting spacing, while areas with pH <8,0 apply an alley cropping pattern with hedge rows spaced at 8 m×5 m, combined with rotational seasonal crops of maize, groundnut, and cassava. Muntingia and lantana are planned for planting along 677 m of mine road as shade trees and dust controllers. The recommended planting period is December–January.
